Leibster Award

Hey Everyone!

So the other day +Bryony Todd   commented saying that she had nominated me for a Leivster award which i thought was incredibly nice since i'm new here and not a lot of people know about my blog. Thnaks so much for that Bryony!

So here are the rules of the award:
1. Each nominee should answer the 11 questions by the tagger
2 Choose 11 blogger (or as many as possible) with under 200 followers to pass the award to and link them to your post
3. Create 11 new questions for the chosen bloggers.
4. Go to their page and tell them about their nomination.

So here are the questions given to me by +Bryony Todd
1. 3 holy grail beauty products that you cant live without.
First one would be my maybeline falsies mascara
Second one would be my NARS Sheer Glow foundation
Thirdly my Rimmel Stay Matte powder
2. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Thats hard probably obvious foundation line just because i really dislike overdone blush because it can look silly
3.  In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line? and why?
Thats such a hard one. Probably NARS just because i think their makeup suits a lot of people and it has natural and intense products.

4. Are you a spender or a saver?
I'm probably a spender even though i do feel bad when i spend a lot of money haha.
5. Your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be to the Bahamas or Greece, i can't decide i'v always liked the idea of both
6. What items do you most like to receive as gifts?
I love receiving shower and bath products because i don't buy a lot of them for myslef (I usually spend the money on makeup) but i love being able to try new products in the bath or shower
7. Your current foundation?
I have 2. I used Rimmel wake me up foundation on weekdays because its affordable and NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Mont Blanc on weekends because i don't want to waste it :)
8. If you had any, what was your new years resolutions?
I had 2 and i followed through with them they were a bit silly but the first one was to only have one sugar in my tea instead of two and to drink more water
9. A beauty secret you think every one should know.
I don't know if people aren't aware of this but if you have gel eye liner and it starts to go dry, mix in a small amount of vaseline and it will fix it :)
10.  Last Years Biggest Challenge?
Last years biggest challenge was probably moving groups i found it difficult eaving my long friends but i knew it was the right thing
11. your signature perfume?
 Definitely Daisy my Marc Jacobs

How to deal with stress and Anxiety

Hey Everyone!

So i thought i would bring up this topic because especially during the school term a lot of people get really stressed and anxious and i know i have been feeling the same way. It hard to understand what is going on and why you can just switch it off and for everything to be over, but here are the best way (for me) to deal with anxiety and stress and i hope they help you

1. Sit down Breath and be calm- this really helps you analyse the situation and be able to look at the bigger picture of things. Just think is this really going to affect me in the future, and most of the time it probably won't.

2. Have some tea or water- this will calm your nerves and help you to relax

3. Look at the situation and ask yourself, What the worst that could happen?- this will help you understand that its not a big deal and EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!!!

4. Smile and Laugh- Endorphins will begin to kick in and they will make you happier and less stressed and upset

5. TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT IT!- I can't stress this enough its so important to just let it all out and you will feel so much better in the end because someone will be able to reassure you and help you get through it

6. Have something to look forward to- A holiday, the weekend anything. It'll make you think that once its the weekend or your on your holiday you won't hav to think about it and all your worries will be gone!

Just tackle things head on! Finish your exam! Confront that person! Let people know how your feeling! What ever it is JSUT DO IT!!!  It'll make you feel so much better and you will get it over and done with and out of the way!

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING! JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! It sounds corner but when your at your worst remember these things and realise that its not a big deal, you can do it!

I BELIEVE IN EVERYONE! AND SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE!

Guys seriously forget about stress it only brings you down! Forget about bullies and horrible people they will only bring you down! RISE ABOVE IT!!!

Please let me know your feedback in the comments xox

Fashion Weekend HAUL!!!

Hello everyone!!!

On the weekend just passed i attended Fashion Weekend, which was fabulous! I went with one of my friends and we had such a good time.

For those of you who don't know what fashion weekend is, basically what happens is that over 4 days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) an event is held for anyone to attend and basically you buy your tickets and turn up whatever time you wish then you can attend fashion shows and afterwards they have heaps of designers selling affordable clothes, shoes, skincare, makeup and accessories!

So i got there on Saturday and had booked tickets for an 11:00 fashion show. We arrived at about 10:15 and pottered around to see what designers were there and what kind of things we wanted to do once we had attended the fashion show. At 11:00 we sat in our seats and watch the catwalk. Some of the designers included Nicola Fenetti, Ginger & Smart and about 5 others.

After the fashion show had finished we went to the napoleon makeup hub where you could get your makeup done for $40 then redeem it in products which i did and it was really fun and interesting to see what products etc. they used on my skin. The guy who did my makeup asked about my skin type, what sort of coverage i wanted and what kind of makeup i wanted. I asked for a medium coverage makeup with a natural smokey eye and a colourful lip. He put on a really great foundation followed by concealer etc. and her used maroons and browns on my eyes which looked really good. Then he asked if i wanted lipstick, lipgloss or both and i ask for lipstick so he put on the gorgeous orange/red lipstick that was just incredible!

**For the products i bought, because it was at fashion weekend the prices were discounted therefore they may not be availble for the same price.**

I bought quite a fair bit on makeup at the Napoleon makeup hub and a few pieces of clothing:

- Napoleon  Perdis Lipstick, in the colour Noosa. This is the one the makeup artist applied and i just adore it! It doesn't dry out the lips and stay for a long time so its good for an everyday or evening lip. Its like an orange/red and its bright which is really fun!

- Napoleon Perdis Bronze set, in the colour baked powder.  I find it really ahrd finding the perfect bronzer for my skin because my skin is really fair but this one is perfect because it is matte and doesn't gon on heavy so it really easy to build up. It gives a really natural broze and is also good for contouring.

- Napoleon Perdis Champagne set palette. He used a few of the eye shadows in this pallette on me and i really liked them. They are nicely pigmented and theres a good variety of products in there. It has eyeshadow, blush, lipgloss and a few small brushes

- Napoleon Perdis Shimmer highlight duo in the colours bronze/gold. I got this set for spending over $60 and its actually really nice. Because the colour look so profound i thought it would be really over the top but the colours are really subtle and give a really nice highlight when applying this to the cheek and brow bone.

- Otto Mode Beige dress. I thought this dress was a bit dull when i first saw it but the style and cut was really cute so i tried it on, at the time i had a gold necklace and it looked really nice so i thought i could always jazz it up with some colour or cute accessories. It fits really nicely and would be good for spring or autumn with a coast

- Sage black skirt. This is such a cute skirt. It wouldn't normally be something i could be hunting for but i saw it and thought it had a really nice shape and cut and it fitted really nicely. When i am going to america for part of my trip i am going with school and i am restricted in what i can wear so i thought this would be good to wear fro that and also any other time.

- Sage Blouse. My friend saw this blouse but it wasn't her size so she gave it to me to try on and it fitted really nicely and i thought the colours were really good for everyday. I love this style blouse and will definitely wear this a lot.

- Sage shoulder bag in brown/tan/ I love this bag! I really wanted to get a nice shoulder bag while i was at fashion weekend and i thought this would be perfect because its a really versatile colour and have heaps of space inside. I don't own any shoulder bags that are suitable so i think this one will be great for everyday.

- Gingham & Heels disco pants. I was so glad i found a pair of these normally at american apparell they have the same ones for $80 but i got these for $20 which is amazing! as i was waiting for the change room i was getting so nervous they wouldn't fit because they were the last pair, but they are amazing and are perfect length and everything!

So that is all i got from fashion weekend! I had the best time and can't wait until next year!!

HAUL! xox

HELLO EVERYBODY!

Well, it has been to long and i deeply apologise for not writing a blog post sooner, but his one should be good!

Ok so i have been on holidays recently and i have made quite a few purchases! So lets get to it!

First off i bought a new pair of high waisted skinny blue jeans from basement in myers and they are riders by Lee. I have always wanted a pair of skinny high waisted jeans and i love then they look really nice on and are super comfortable :) They were $90. Which isn't to bad considered the price of other jeans

Secondly i bought a black skater skirt by MinkPink from David Jones. I don't have a lot of skater skirts and since its coming up to winter i thought it would be good to wear with boots and woollen socks or in spring/ summer with converse or loafers :) It was $30 and is sort of a velvet/denim material

I also purchase with the skirt a cream T-shirt  from MinkPink in David Jones which cost me $20. I feel like T-shirts these days are super expensive for what they are and i didn't think this one was too bad. Its super soft and really comfortable to wear :).

The next thing i bought was a black dress with white cut out in the top part. I got this from Dotti and its super comfortable and fits really nicely. It has a gorgeous back and i feel like its quite classy and sophisticated. This cost $50 and i wore it the other night which some black heels and it looked really cute.

From Forever New i got on sale a black T-shirt that is longer at the back and has a chiffon extension on it. I haven't worm it yet but i would probably wear it with leggings and boots or jeans. This cost me $13 and its really comfortable.

Next i got a cute Tank top with a print of Bambi on the front. It super cute a really easy to wear. I got this in target, i don't normally go there but i was buying some gym clothes and saw this and thought it was really nice. I wore it with shorts, my high waisted jeans and a skirt :) this cost me $20.

Now onto my makeup purchases. I have a hell of a lot of makeup for a 16 year old girl and thought it would be good to add some more to my collection. So here we go!!!

First off i went into MAC (YAY! First MAC purchase) and i went straight to the lipsticks and stood there for a good 20 minutes with my friend trying to find the ideal colour so i got a bright pink/ magenta colour called lickable its similar to their other colour called girl about town but wasn't as bright. they have some great colours out at the moment but i thought it would be good to make my first purchase a fun and bright colour :)

Secondly i was in the city and went into a makeup store called gloss they have really affordable makeup. I wouldn't recommend it for foundation or anything like that but eyeshadow and lipsticks are good they are quite cheap so i guess you get what you pay really haha. so i got 4 items from there:

- I got BYS Lipliner pencil in the colour red #09- i have worn red lipsticks before and have found it have to apply without a brush so i wanted to get lipliner to ensure it stays on longer and gives a sharper line. this cost $7

- I also bought an eyelash curler, i've never had one and my friend was encouraging me to get one so i did. Its pretty good but not essential it make your lashes seem more full. This cost $4

- Thirdly, i got BYS eyeshadow, small palette of 5 colours so its really good when travelling. It called Metallic Natural Glam and has some super nice natural colours. this cost $6

- Finally from gloss i got a BYS bronzer. I have really pale skin so when i wear bronzer it can make my skin look really weird and orange so i never normally wear it. It is called #02 bronzer w sun- copper. and its pretty good so far this cost $8

Ok so while i was in the city i poped in TOPSHOP! i went to their makeup section and was a bit underwhelmed but it is still lovely, there things are quite expensive but i wanted to get something cause i don't normally go in there so i got a nail polish in the colour high voltage and it cost $10. I had just ha a manicure and wanted to fix up some of the spots i chipped and this matched really well.

Finally i went away last week and needed a new makeup bag so i went to priceline and got a really nice black makeup bag to fit everything in. It cost $20 and i love it . I has a hanger in it so your can hang it in your Wardrobe or but some essentials in your locker and hang it up or whatever works for you.

Ok so thats everything hope you like it sorry it took me a while to write a new post but i'll tyr harder to write more frequently. So this year i have a few things coming up that i'm going to blog about and do hauls on which are:
- Fashion Weekend in late May
- I'm going to America in june/july so big haul there
- IMATS which is the international makeup artist trade show in sydney (Darling Harbour to be exact) i'm really looking froward to it, this is my first year going and can't wait!

Thanks for reading guys! Lots of love and Kepping Dreaming xox

This seasons colours!

Heyy Everyone!!

Winter is near and you know what that means....!
Yes thats right warm coats, knitted socks, scarf, beanies the whole shebang!

I've been browsing through a few stores and noticing some great trends in colour this upcoming season.

Autum and winter bring darker tones and this season probably won't be any different. Some great colour we are going to see this season include:

- Burgundy- i think this is such a fabulous colour, i wear it on my nails or as a classie blouse and the colour just goes with so much! definitely a colour you going to want it your wardrobe this season.

- Grey- grey is a great basic colour and it goes with loads, it can be used as a casual or dressy colour which is really ideal

- Chocolate- This may not be around in a lot of your more casual stores but in your high end stores this colour will be everywhere, although it doesn't go with as many colours as most its still a great colour to have in your wardrobe.

- Mauve- this colour is very sophisticated and classic. a great colour to experiment with

This a just a few of the colours we will be seeing these coming season, black is a given so expect to see that everywhere, you can never go wrong with a classic black skinny jean :)

Thats all from me this week!

Makeup time!!

Hello everyone!!!

Sorry it's been so long I've been really busy with exams and school, but I'm finally here!

Ok so this is my first makeup post and I'm ready to talk my fav products, brands and shops! First off I've just been sorting out my makeup and its all been cleaned and organized which makes it heaps easier to find, so if Deffinately recommend that you all do that before you start buying new products.

So below I will list all the products I have recently bought that I am loving and ill give you a little description.

1. Rimmel wake me up foundation- I decided to try this makeup because I had a smash-box foundation that I was using everyday and I love it but its pretty pricey and is quite a heavy coverage. Rimmel wake me up foundation gives a lovely glowing and solid coverage it goes on the face really nicely ( recommend you use moisturizer before you put on any foundation) I just use my hands then use my Napoleon buffing brush to buff it into the skin and it stay's on all day. Price: $19.99 (chemists or supermarkets)

2. My second most loved product is the Bare Minerals 'pretty amazing' lip gloss in the colour pizzazz. I love this colour! It's really similar to Mac rebel (which I can't afford but love!) it's a gloss but goes on quite heavy and its great because you can later it Price: $20.00 (sephora is USA or kit in Myers in AUS)

3. Thirdly, is the smashbox high definition concealer. A lot of other concealers leave you skin oily but this one goes on really nicely and you don't need to much which is great! Price: $25.00 (sephora is USA or kit in Myers in AUS)

4. I'm really loving the real techniques eye brushes. I haven't gotten a chance to try the other but the ones I currently have and adore are: the deluxe crease brush, pixel point eye liner brush, base shadow brush, accent brush and the Angled brow brush.
Price: $39.99 for all brushes (Priceline)

5. Ok so this one I've had for a while and it's the too faced primed poreless primer. It feels and smells amazing and it leave your skin flawless which is incredible! I've really been loving too faced recently and ill probably be writing a post about the brand soon so stay tuned! Price: $25.00 (Sephora USA or Myers kit in AUS)

Mosh Pits

Mosh pits

A few months ago i had a terrible experience with mosh pits when i went to see the arctic monkeys preform live. The entire show was mosh pit and this was my first time experiencing this. You see I'm Claustrophobic which really doesn't help and because it was must first time being in a mosh pit i was quite nervous.

My friend had purchased the ticket without my permission so i felt obliged to go, and considering i only knew a few of the bands songs i wasn't terribly keen anyway. When we arrived there i got really excited, but i didn't want to push myself i wanted to find out what my limitations were. I met up with two of my other friends and we stood there as the opening acts came on. I looked around me and though "Hey, this isn't so bad, i can do this" and it wasn't bad at all, until the Arctic Monkeys came on.

The bands target audience is probably 25+ men (Mainly british) this meant that a large proportion were of that genre. So once that band started everyone began jumping up and down and 'raving' ( haha i can't believe i just said that) to the music. Because i am short i was getting crushed and it certainly didn't help that everyone around me was throwing beer everywhere and smoking weed, so this made my claustrophobia worse.

I began to have a panic attack and ran into the bath and... continued my panic attack, called my dad, he picked me up and we left. I've got to say it was probably one of the worst experiences of my life but i felt proud that i had the courage to do something about it.

Since then i hadn't really gone into mosh pits and every time someone suggested we go to a concert that had a mosh pit i would just decline the offer. Until recently when a friend of mine had a spare ticket to Ed Sheeran and i instantly accepted, not realising it was mosh pit. When we arrived i was feeling really nervous, it was a huge crowd but luckly the target audience wasn't 25+ mainly british men, My friend knew that i was feeling quite nervous but she was supportive and i ended up having a really good time. I didn't get cushed, have beer thrown on me or have old men smoking weed around me. The music was amazing and the only bad thing was that i came out with an incredibly sore back, but it was o worth it!

Sorry its been so long since i have written my internet has been down but all good now, got heaps of blog ideas on the way and can't wait to share mys tories, experiences and feelings with you! xxx please comment below on your thoughts!

Thursday 7 February 2013

Music and stuff.

When I was brainstorming ideas of what to write a blog about I decided to write about something that made me feel good, that I enjoy and that  I wanted to share. When I thought hard about what makes me feel good I instantly thought of music. Although I can't play a musical instrument (apart from a few chords on the guitar and some piano) the thing I most enjoy I listening to music and if someone gave me the option to loose my sight or loose my hearing it would choose to loose my sight.

When I hear a good song I instantly share it with my friends and I think thats one of the best things about music, being able to connect with people, share your thoughts on it and help them understand what types of genres you like. Although I love this part of music many people don't, yes a lot of you know who i'm talking about, those 'indie' kids. A lot of you may not know what 'Indie Kids' mean, but I feel that Urban dictionary always explains these things best.

Indie Kids:
Nerds but hot. Indie kids are the new generation of near. They're the "cool nerd" because they embrace the awkwardness. These kids listen to alternative music.

The Indie or Alternate people are know are actually some of my closest friends but I find that overtime I tell them about a song that they know they always say "Oh my god, I can't believe you know that song, now it's completely reined". Its like their protective over their music. Wouldn't they want to be happy that the artist is spreading and becoming more successful? Wouldn't they want to share their music for other people's enjoyment? This is just a concept I can't gasp.

I love all genres of music there isn't a genre you can put me too. My particular favourite include:
- Pop
- Country
- Folk
- Alternate
- Hip Hop/ Rap
- Easy Listening
- Dance/Dubstep
And so many more. I love any song that can get my heart racing, make me want to get up and dance or sit quietly and reflect. It's got to have that special 'thing' about it. Songs are incredible the way the can motivate you to do anything and put you in such a great mood. I always pretend that i'm in the video clip watching other people pass I try to match them to the songs... yes my bus trips are particularly song.

Well thats all from me today, sorry I haven't been uploading lately i've been really busy but hopefully I will start to pick up the pace.
Thanks and keep dreaming xox

Being Australian

Being Australian- Jan 25th 2013

Australia is located in the southern hemisphere just above Antarctica and next to New Zealand. It is considered one of the biggest islands in the world because it is surrounded by water and no land.  It is known for its kangaroos, emu’s, wombats and the occasional *buggee smugglers.

This brings me to being Australian. Am I a proud Australian? There are some things my people to that make me cringe, sometimes I feel embarrassed to be Australian because of the types of things people do. I have to say the moment when I felt most embarrassed about being Australian was when I was watching Big Brother and two of the house mates were teaching one of the other housemates who was British how Australians say Australia, they said “Don’t even pronounce the ‘Au’ just say ‘Stralia’”.  I can’t even begin how much of a *bogan I consider them to be.

People have a stereotype of Australia and how we live our lives. A lot of people in different countries think that we all ride to school on emu’s and we have kangaroos jumping around everywhere, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Too be honest I’ve never ever seen an emu or a wombat, and the only time I have seen a Kangaroo is when we go out to rural areas.

Recently, two YouTuber’s made a video about Australia and our terminology. They were British and they used words like ‘*Dunny’, ‘*G’day mate’ ‘*Snag’ and other words that I didn’t even understand and you would have thought that being Australian.

That’s all for known,
Keep dreaming xox

* Buggee Smugglers- male swimwear, speedos
* Bogan- Australian’s who possess no form of class whatsoever
* Dunny- Toilet
* G’day Mate- Hello friend
* Snag- Sausage

Good manners

Good Manners.

I've always been taught that having good manners is a really important thing. Weather your in a job interview, at school or in everyday life; respect for others, generosity and manners are incredibly important things because they reflect what kind of a person you are.

Recently, I went only a family holiday to America where we travelled to New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angelus and Washington DC. One morning when we were in LA we were at Starbucks getting coffee and we were sitting outside when i went to got inside to get the coffees. As I was walking towards the door I could see out of the corner of my eye two girls walking towards the door as well. Because i was in front I pulled the door open towards me and these two girls that we behind me just kept walking straight passed me into the coffee shop. As they kept walking I had a shocked look on my face, these 2 girls had seriously treated me with absolutely no respect, not until they were well away from the door they turned around and said, "Oh, Yeah thanks". I was shocked, I couldn't comprehend how someone could be so rude and think that it was ok.

Although it happened 5 months ago it still irritates me to this day, probably because I didn't say anything to them but also because of how they acted. Luckily because I am a well respected and well mannered person I was able to let this go past me.

So this just shows that people who are well mannered get further and are more grounded then thaws who aren't.

Be Silly. Be Honest. Be Kind.

Jan 17th 2013.

Be Silly. Be Honest. Be Kind.

6 words that can define our lives… 6 words that I choose to live my life by. Most people have a detailed passage from a famous historian that they live by, but me, I live by this one phrase. When I was about 10 years old my mum went to visit my auntie for a week or so and it was tradition in our family that if you go away you bring something back, so my mum brought me and my sister back a pack each of inspiration or wisdom cards. I hadn’t really thought anything of them until a few years ago when I found them in a box that had things from when I was little in it.

I started to flick through them and a lot of them said things like ‘put yourself in other peoples shoes’ etc. But one in particular stuck out to me and this was the card that read; Be Silly. Be Honest. Be Kind and I thought to myself if I live by these 6 word I will enjoy life a lot more, I’ll be able to laugh and the tough stuff, be the person I want to be and people will enjoy my company. I think that what this phrase is trying to say is that as long as you be silly, be honest and be kind you will be true to yourself and people will respect you, which is what is really important to me.

I have struggled before to try and discover who I am, what my style is, what kind of person I am and what kind of person I want to be and I think that in the future this phrase will really help me to determine this. You always see the different styles that people have like; the punk girl, the indie girl, the beach babe and you discover people’s talents and abilities and I’ve always been that person that has tried to be these different people but never really tired to be myself but as longs as I live by these 6 words I know that I can be myself and I can discover the person I want to be.

Lots of Love and Keep Dreaming xox
